What is your favorite album by The Who? Picking a favorite is tough, but I'd lean towards "Quadrophenia" as my top choice. It's the album I keep coming back to the most. Probably the band's most "prog" as well.

The Who By Numbers. More for nostalgia reasons than anything else as Mum bought it for me when I was 13. It's clearly not their best but I love the songs The Blue, Red and Grey, Slip Kid, How Many Friends and Squeeze Box. It's an eclectic mix that feels more like a Pete Townsend solo album than a Who album at times but I still enjoy it nevertheless.

It's a toss between Who's Next and Quadrophenia. Both are 5 stars in my book. Voted Who's Next.

For an iconic band that have been around since the 60s, they have very few really good albums. It's between Quadrophenia and Who's Next, I've gone for the latter.

Who's Next is full of great songs, making it one of the best rock albums ever, but having heard various recreations of the Lifehouse project, I think if The Who had actually brought the project to life, and someone had done some practical editing, it would have been the best rock release ever. But in the real world, I vote for Quadrophenia. Love me a good concept.

true and even Who's Next is a bit lacking once you get past the iconic songs Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes, Bargain and Going Mobile. OK that on it's own will do it

I agree. Had Townsend been able to bring Lifehouse to life back then, it might have been the Who epic to end all epics. Alas, we will never know

As I've said elsewhere, Who's Next is a greatest hits album for any mortal band.
