Hello ProgArchives!

You can call me Ertceps (or Ert for short). I've been stuck in the prog trenches since I was 14, so... 6 years now! My deepest apologies if I make anyone feel old reading that, haha.

Besides a handful of bands I grew up with as well as certain VGM, I would say symphonic (usually 1970's) progressive rock is most of what I listen to. Something about the genre really grabs the attention of my ADHD like nothing else can.

I don't know much about music production nor music theory (I sincerely struggle to understand it), but as a graphical artist, I find the sound of prog very creatively inspiring for my work. I mostly draw things completely unrelated to prog, but I was recently considering working on a portfolio so that perhaps I could collaborate with some up-and-coming prog band someday (creating album art, most likely, since I have no experience with making logos; I doubt scribbling the Yes logo in every notebook I have counts).

I'm not entirely sure where I would post about prog-related visual arts on this site, actually! If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I'm currently taking some small, small, baby steps towards making a prog rock-themed indie cartoon. It's in a very early stage of development with little to show, but I'm hoping to garner at least a small bit of interest in it so that I might secure some voice acting... You know, so that I have something to animate to! Again, if anyone knows a good spot to post about that sort of thing, do let me know!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this! ^_^

This thread about the relation between album artwork and music might be of interest to you, and is still open for fresh comments, but you could always start your own.
