Dark Side of the Moon, WishYou Were Here -great choices, long, languid, laid back songs that go well...

oh by the way "stoned" for me means a bottle of Merlot, not sure what it means for you...!!

There are so many...
Ity depens on your level of consciousness...
Mushroom or Weed?
But the krautrock genre features the most psychedelic and acid records...

Yes, it depends on which drug...I recall Floyd's Meddle and Atom Heart
Mother as being the ultimate brain-melting psychedelic albums. The
Beatle's "Revolution no. 9" was also a very startling experience under the
influence. For cannabis lovers, jazz has traditionally always gone very
well, later fusion, like Brand X...seeing them live, it was clear during the
second set that they'd indulged a bit during the break as well. Most any
Miles Davis is pot compatible for that matter.

the Mars Volta live I'm sure. Though I'm not a user.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

Gong and Ozric Tentacles are both good to listen to when one is an - ahem - 'relaxed' frame of mind, possibly because the musicins themselves were in a similar headspace when they made their music.

It's been a long time since I did any dope and even then not a lot of it, but I recall the middle "noise" bit of Echoes being the most wonderful thing I'd ever heard. I could see pterodactyls flying over volcanic plains.

And for some reason Patti Smith's "Horses" seemed to be one of the best albums I'd ever heard while under the influence, but I never been able to listen to it "straight" before or since!

I have to say Wish You Were Here is a good listen while high, also Live At Pompeii is great to watch...

Listen to The Six Wives Of Henry VIII by Wakeman or Camels Moonmadness, maybe even Genesis' Foxtrot...

I've never been high ... but the Shpongle album that I recently bought would be great, at least I figure it might.

Everything by Pink Floyd, Camel and CARAVAN (smoke punk weed till we bleed), and you'll need a fireger near by in case you get the munchies in the middle of Echoes... not a nice thing to happen to anyone.

Ummagumma (my favorite high album, the live side is so amazing high, YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO SPACE!), Darkside of the Moon, In the Land of Gray and Pink, Lizard, Red, Starless and Bible Black, Atom Heart Mother (Studio and Live), Close to the Edge, Larks' Tounges in Aspic, Led Zeppelin II, those are all my usual "stoned" albums.

Basically, anything you like alot when your sober you will really really like alot when your high.

Yea, obviously it depends on the drug

Mush: (I dunno why, but once I tried Gentle Giant-Octopus, and hooolyy crappppp, the song River which I always hated, was so weiiiird... I felt the bongos or whatever everywhere, I was floating in a river, my walls were melting in the music and things were all NIIICE

AND UMMAGUMMA -- Thats a must for any drugs!

Weed: Pink Floyd is nice, GENESIS! (man, genesis ... supper's ready is like living in a story)

LSD: for me Pink Floyd was pretty nice, you can see the music nicely
