I remember, though, that Flaming lips had four tapes that had to be played simultaenously on boomboxes or something like that, which is something...

Laurie Anderson is a fave of mine, too.

If you like art of musicians, check my site (the music section) and tell me what you think! http://www.kenmeyerjr.com

50 CDs full of random noises, it must be art!

I thought the question was not just about the longest album,
but the longest concept album. Until now, "The United States 1-
5", a 5 album box set of LPs, by Laurie Anderson. I don't know if
it was ever released as a cd, this was for me her magnum opus,
and the best of the so-called Art Rock genre of the 80s.

come on... what's the need for it to be THAT long...

you tell me... is it interesting all along, or is it repetitive...?

can't believe you listened to all of it...

and can't believe someone did listen to the whole Merzbow's Merzbox without a brake... its a kind of marathon. isnt it? how much, more than a day?

Why are we never too sure till we die or have killed for an answer...

I recorded an 8 hour\41 tracks long album consisting of piano improvisations related to a concept surrounding them all, but it's not exactly whay you're asking for

Chris Rea's work is simply GIANT!
Dangerous to be closely minded by a closed mind.
Ordine Geometrico Demonstrata - the ultimate attempt at you will to listen.

Chris Rea is great. I love his melodies,

I have to admit that I haven't seen such a huge album.

How does it sound?
