And they Don't  sound at all like Porcupine tree have this in mind. PT isn't all about composition  and jamming not soloing and playing fast.
if I would to have to compare them or to say that they sound like a band I would say Symphony  X  a bit or Faith Warning are closer. however, The Ark  do have their own style of music .you might even hear some Latin beat in their heaviness of their music. Highly recommend it. if you into that.

I´m not a fan of it. ARK is too power metal for my taste... although I must admit, if you like that genre, it´s pretty top notch stuff

Me too!!Wink  even though Porcupine tree's music totally different.

As a matter of fact I think that Ark - Burn the Sun is quite unique. I just meant that people who can tolerate the *heaviness* of albums like In Absentia or Deadwing won't have any problem with this album.Smile

I am ordered it and I am listening to it right now. Man!! a 5 star CD!! I moved  to get the whole album because last year I downloaded one of the best tune from the album ( Resurrection) man what a killer tune so I finally  got  to hear the whole album and I am loving it all ready. some part sound like Latin Prog-Metal. again 5 star. if you're  into Cristal clear metal hard rock albums this is  a most.
