I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

DreEm Theeter Rox! (or so I'm informed). Henry Cow are completely magnificent - I've been listening to their albums for almost 30 years now (with occasional toilet breaks) and I still find them as fresh, stimulating and innovative as ever.

I own Live at Budokan, Train of Thought, and Images and Words.
I listened to InW and was left with impression they ripped off rush's style of prog rock. In short, DT's music is simply an amalgamtion of progressive styles of Rush and the apparent ferocity of Metallica. DT sucks!!! However, Budokan has its moments

Metallica and 'ferocity', hmm... Well, yes, Master of Puppets and And Justice... are quite ferocious, not only apparently. It's just that it was so long ago that seeing the two words in one sentence really made disturbed me. Hang on, this thread is supposed to be about Dream Theater! Very cool band, indeed

But... but... but the title says, I quote - 'Dream Theater'. The title is supposed to say what the thread is about, isn't it? This is its function, isn't it? Isn't it? And 'Dream Theater' means 'Dream Theater', not 'Henry Cow'. 'Henry Cow' means 'Henry Cow'. Or do I have to read that Wittgenstein fellow again? |
