Here we go folks ... a really simple poll.

We are talking about the best possible tape (cassette) system vs. a standard CD player.

Too much hiss on tape, they break often and wear out, not to mention magnetic neutralisation if you don't play them for a while

CD is the best! But ahhh, so many memories with all those old cassetes when I was young!!

CD is my answer too although

I LOVE TAPES, I can still listen to them

in particular, some metallic ones or cromium had excellent sound!!!

Of course it would still have to be a real, existing system for standard cassettes - there are some really expensive ones.

Only true in a literal sense. Cassettes are made of lots of particles which can be aligned in one direction or the other in exactly the same way that CDs are made of lots of bits that can be defined as either one state or the other. The only differences are
a)CD does this more efficiently and so requires fewer bits to represent the same information

b)there are more particles per second of music on tape than there are bits on a CD

c)the other noises on cassettes which don't exist on CD are so much louder than this that they render it inaudible.
