Exactly 3 albums every month to 2.5 months. It's 3 albums because that is the minimum for the free shipping on Amazon. I used to buy more frequently, but now that I've gotten all of Floyd's discography, a lot of the more famous prog, and suffered some severe disappointment from some of my CDs, I've slowed down more.

The last ones I bought were H to He,..., Foxtrot, and The Sky Moves Sideways.

I have no monthly regular purchasing. It comes in waves. For instance in June  till October 2005 I didn't anything. THen in the following months I bought:

November - 10 albums
December - 6 albums
January - 10 albums

February - 0 a;lbums

March - 12 albums

April - 24 albums

May - 4 up to now.

In June till September I will not be able to spend more due to personal reasons, so I'm tempted to take advantage now.

If you have a credit card you can buy many Zappa CDs really cheap (<3EUR) at www.emusic.com (as mp3). A 100% legitimate website, and most of the money goes to the artist.

Mike, can you keep the songs afterwards or is it like Napster?

These files are ordinary mp3s, encoded in very high quality (>192kbps). You can keep them as long as you want - you can even download them again from www.emusic.com at no charge if you lose them.

You can get some really cheap CDs in Greece. Metropolis has a lot of classic prog from the 70's for 6-7 Euros. Rock City has a lot of prog metal and even some neo prog for 10 Euros. You only have to pay 20 Euros if you want the latest stuff.

10-15 at the moment. Have a lot of catching up to do buying discs of well known bands  for decent prices at local shops.

I'm almost at the point that i have all these discs. I intend to slow down to buying some 5 discs  a month from online shops and at concerts.

Sometimes I feel like a need a 12 step program. The bare minimum a month is around 5. I buy lots of vinyl too, and those are even cheaper (go figure).

usually in the 10-15 range.... have a lost of lost time to make up for, not having 'discovered' Italian... and now Spanish prog until recently. I should own stock in Amazon, and having found Greg Walker (Syn-Phonic Music)to be a great place to get those albums, I'll probably use him more.
