No Bob Dylan?
I recommend In a Silent Way by Miles Davis.

First of all, I must apologize for the lack of feedback on my behalf, I havn't been around a computor for a while. Lots of very good suggestions; I'll definately put some of those on the list. Although, I must say, a few recomended albums weren't from the '60's(example:Deja Vu , '70).

If you look closely, you'll see that I do have a Bob Dylan in there, 1966's Blonde On Blonde. But, good call on Miles Davis

I think I'll add a few more to the list, myself: Freak Out!('66), The Fugs Self titled album('66), The Velvet Underground And Nico(67), Hapshash & The Coloured Coat Featuring The Human Host & THe Heavy Metal Kids('67), and Contact('69)by The Silver Apples.

Andrew, I hereby propose your candidacy for PA Collaborator. You, Sean and Erik together form the entire Prog Encyclopedia and beyond.

Revolver is a better album than Sgt Pepper (imho), also you can't leave out Pet Sounds.

Yeah, revolver is a really good one, I'll put that one down. I already have Pet Sounds in the list.

Those are all very good selections, I know Vincebus Eruptum and Spooky Two are both excellent albums. I'll add them all.
