He deserves to be included here in PA!

That "Aria" suite is great (great contribution from Jean-Luc Ponty)!

I think his first album is better than the (excellent) second one "Come un Vecchio Incensiere all'Alba di un Villaggio Deserto".

After the third self titled work (1974) he entered definitively disco music!!!Dead

How many people here do support this potential inclusion (1972-1974)?

I think so!!!

The "Italian Tim Buckley" should be included here ( but just the first two albums).

BTW I think it would be better to include also his 1974 album because it represents better the transition toward that terrifyng music! It is not completely different so we can give people the most wide information about his fine works and prevent people to think his next record is similar to the previous ones! It's not a case that his album were published under Harvest label!

Come Un Vecchio Incensiere...is a more elaborated album, with excellents arrangements, but I think Aria is a little bit superior (maybe for its freshness).

My personal rating could be:

1) Aria (1972): 4,5

2) Come un Vecchio Incensiere all'Alba di Un Villaggio Deserto (1973): 3,8/4

Sometimes ago i bought the original LP vinyl version of Aria, and  after a lot of laborious listening

i decided that i don't like it!!! Ok, great voice and great violin sound but the end of the suite

alwais let me a little  bored.

Regards

Maurizio from Italy

I agree, early Alan Sorrenti should be on this site.
p.s. this thread seems to be a strictly Italian affair... I wonder how
many people outside Italy have ever heard of Sorrenti...

What a pity that nobody out of Italy knows none of his releases...

I hope someone here on this site will be interested in Aria or in Come un Vecchio Incensiere...
