So are you a member in another prog forum / site, and are you satisfied with this one?

I have tried other websites, but for some reasons I prefer this one the most, in terms of people, website design and variety of genres and bands.

I am a very busy proghead, my mission is to let the world know that there are worldwide also many interesting lesser known bands (from Spain, Italy, South America, Hungary, Japan, etc.). Along Prog Archives I work for Progwalhalla (for a friend who ownes a progrock mailorder service) and The Spanish Progressive Rock Page (siempre manana  ), it's fun but it takes a lot of time. Fortunately me and my wife have no children (very time consuming if a look at my brother and friends). By the way, we have a baby: Lola, a Border Collie from 8 years old, a very intelligent and funny dog.

In my opinion Prog Archives is the most comprehensive and technically sophisticated site although I am not pleased with the many current non-progrock additions.

I am also a member of Gnosis, which I find more suitable for my personal tastes (if you choose an album rated above 11, it may not be to your tastes, but it will be an excellent album anyway and that is a garantee). I am a rater there, but , but i must say that the site is not quite as fascinating: the reviews are much less and divoided into categories when there are reviews available. However the database is much more extened (6 times the amount of albums), but also a good deal of non-prog albums , but also of a non-rock nature. The tastes of the raters is definitely more elitist/RIO and I believe does not reflect the tastes of the prog rock crowds. However their rating system (non-linear on a scale of 15) is the best I know. The panel of raters are of an outstanding knowledge and some members write for Expose magazine

The forum is a yahoo group only for members

http://www.gnosis2000.net/

I like as much as ProgArchives , but it is less interactive

I also am a member of Progressive Ears but I must say that I rarely visit it for lack of time

PA and PA only.

Going to another progrock site after finiding PA is like turning around and eating a hamburger when you just found a big juicy t-bone steak.

I love it here because:

1. The bands are classified appropriately (at least for me)

2. Very user friendly

3. The members are friendly ( Jody, Trotsky, Tony R., Drew, Sleeper, The Miracle, Bj1, Ed The Dead, Rico and anyone whom i forgot)

4. I can download songs for free

5. Very interactive

so.. i give it 5 stars!

PA is the best all round, although I visit ProgGnosis, Strawberry Bricks and ProgLands but that seems to be down at the moment!!
