We won't get TPE II, but maybe "Scarsick" will be just as great... Keep your fingers crossed!

And sadly the songwriting is taking place without a bass-player... no info about Kristoffer's replacement...

Allegedly, the band is set to release this album and another album sometime at this year I've heard.  The second album is, I would think, TPE II.

As for Kristoffer...although there from the beginning, nothing of his bass work particularly stood out to me...so I don't see it distracting too much from the writing of the new material.

Personally I think Kristoffer was quite an amazing player.  Listen to a song like Waking Every God, Fandango, Idioglossia, Nihil  Morari, or People Passing By as a testament to his talents.  I think he's one of the most underrated bassists in Progressive Metal.

About the new album, I'm very excited.  It's going to be great to hear an album more reminiscient of the older style of Pain of Salvation.  I thought Be was an excellent album, it ranks no higher than third on my order of Pain of Salvation.
