Hi lately ive been curious about neo-prog I have Misplaced Childhood and Script for a Jesters Tear by Marillion. Can I get recommendations on where to go from there?

IQ, Arena, Pallas, Pendragon. And continue with early Marillion - I suggest "Cluching at Straws".

To be honest, Neo-Prog is not my personal favorite. I like Kruat Rock more.

Same here. But it kept my interest in prog alive in the 80's until Echolyn and Porcupine Tree in '91 showed there was an alternative to neo prog. Interesting how Echolyn's debut shows a transition from Marillion influenced neo prog to symphonic prog - anyone notiched that?

If you like keyboards definitely get Clutching At Straws. I'm a fan of all of Marillion's work and would definitely suggest Marbles and Brave as well.

The two remaining Fish era Marillion albums would be good and any H era up to This Strange Engine and then Marbles. IQ, Pendragon, Arena, Pallas, Jadis, Illuvator,Collage, Saens, Satalight are all good bands to try as well.

Agree. But the neo-prog is less evident, if not gone, on these albums. They/Marillion very cleverly made a transition from neo-prog to symphonic prog, perhaps even space rock, and the Pink Floyd and Radiohead influences have become apparent. I've got the remastered versions of the H era albums with an added extra CD containing demos that are very experimental and even psychedelic at times. In fact I think I prefer the bonus material to the official studio albums.

I don't suggest much of the Hogarth-era Marillion (including Brave and Marbles) for they aren't very prog at all, save a few songs. And Brave is just plain boring. 
Overall, here's what I like best:
1. Pendragon
2. Saens
3. Quidam
4. Pallas
5. The Watch (just ordered, we'll see...)

Twelfth night - fact and fiction is better than any old marillion's releases. Then the usual Pallas etc. and also ty the semi-unknown: Comedy of Errors, Abel Ganz, Quasar, Liaison (saw them live - wow), Spain's galadriel, Italy's Ezra Winston

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I heard an mp3 on this site by a neo-prog band called Afterglow. I greatly enjoyed it however I cant seem to locate their cd. Its not at amazon, pendragon merchandise or syn-phonic. Does anyone know a site i could by it at (or if anyone has a copy to sell/trade then pm me please)

Try IQ !! If you don't know IQ's Dark matter I would begin with that one.
And if you have Script and M. Ch. from Marillion, then next is Fugazi (my personal favourite).
