Produced by Todd Rundgren and 'disowned' by Hall & Oates.Has anyone heard/got this album? It really is a one off.Loads of synths and fx.I heard that if they continued in this vein, they (Hall & Oates) would have been thrown off of their record label.Too uncommercial apparently.
It's pretty difficult to get on cd in Britain.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Funny, that is one of the few Hall and Oates that I don't have and I am a huge Rundgren fan (and like Hall and Oates as well, despite how commercial they became). I will have to try to find that one somewhere.

I think H&O teetered on the brink of prog with War Babies but couldn't shed their Philly Soul roots enough to go further.  I think they were just a little too funky.  There's a song called "Falling" on their "Bigger than both of us" album that uses synth extensively and creates a great prog mood.
