As a BIG Led Zeppelin fan, I say their best album is Led Zepelin IV: "Stairway to Heaven" (best rock song in history?), "Rock n' Roll", "Black Dog", Misty Mountain Hop", "Going To California", "Four Sticks", "When The Leeve Breaks"......
The best and obviously one of the best rock albums of all time !!

Physical Graffiti for me...I like the fact that there are lots of (good) tunes on it that you don't really hear very often on radio, and that makes this record special for me...

IV is probably the best, (how can you beat "The Battle Of Evermore" and "Misty Mountain Hop"?) but paradoxically my favourite is HotH - consistantly amazing with an attempted reggae track which always leaves me smiling. Extended live versions of "No Quater" are among their best material.

Houses of the Holy is my favourite, closely followed by Led Zeppelin IV and Physical Graffiti.

Never heard Physical Graffiti.
From what I'm acquainted with -- IV.

I'm glad to see III has amassed so many votes, it's the true Led Zeppelin classic.

The obvious one, IV. Love all the seven first though.
Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

A really hard choice. I had to choose between "I", "IV" and "PG". I voted for the first one because it has no weak spots. Pure genius!

I only have the first four albums, so I don't really count.Smile My favorite is II, because all the songs are fun and really rock. IV might have a case, but a lot of those songs get WAY overplayed on the radio, so I'm a little bored with it.

LZ 4 for me - a flawless masterpiece. I also love III, especially the first part, and "Houses of the Holy" - while I think "Physical Graffiti" contains a bit too much filler for comfort.

I just love every song on IV, especially The Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop, Four Sticks and When the Levee Breaks.  Black Dog, Rock'n'Roll and Stairway are classics, just overheard them.

Its really A hard choice.  I picked Zep II cause it introduced us to the infamous Moby Dick.  I'd put presence second and  Houses third.

Houses of the Holy is the LZ album I listen to most. Rain Song, Over the Hills..., Song Remains and so on. Some beautifully arranged acoustic guitar, plenty of keys from JPJ (the most underrated LZ member) and a more subtle Bonham.

I've always been disappointed that Pagey never recorded an album of acoustic instruments, like Bron-yr-aur. Wasn't that a take on another guitarist? Renborn, maybe?
