Other than being a huge prog fan, i'm also a fan of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. I heard that their new album Stadium Arcadium was going to be conceptual. Did anyone get it? I just wanted to get some feedback on it before I decide if it's worth getting or not.

Strangers passing in the street by chance two separate glances meet and I am you and what I see is me. And do I take you by the hand and lead you through the land and help me understand the best I can

I'm listening to it for the first time and my impression is that most songs are in the style of Californication / By Your Side but there are several tracks in which they seem to have recovered the funky Mother's Milk/Blood Sugar Sex Magic style (that is a good thing!). When I listen to it several times I'll give you more comments on this thread.

There's a lot to take in on it...I'm currently on the second disc (had the album for about two weeks now).  Good stuff though...even though Keidis is his usual annoying self.  Since it's on right now, I'll say Readymade has a definitely kind of Mountain vibe...then again it might just be that cow-BELL in the chorus.

I havn't heard thei new album, but I'm sure Mars Volta may have influened them on this album. I wouldn't be surprised if it does have some prog in it.

No traces of Mars Volta I'm afraid...although if an aspect of Mars Volta is energy than I'd say they rubbed off on them a little bit.  And Mr. Omar Alfonso Rodriguez-Lopez is on the track Especially In Michigan...if that counts.
