Awesome prog gone nowhere in the maze of stupid punk and new-wave...the same situation had MIRTHRANDIR,BABYLON,ENGLAND,LOCANDA DELLE FATE etc...Sadly ocassion:we'll never know another masterpieces from them

BTW,I think,CATHEDRAL were playing a proto-ANGLAGARD music!!!

I only have Stained Glass Stories but really like it.It's not perfect,as Chopper pointed out,but a good symphonic prog album nonetheless.

And if I remember right Cathedral are re-uniting,there was a thread about it here in the forum awhile ago.

I've got that album and reviewed it recently. I think it's okay, good instrumentally but not vocally and the production is not that good either. It is a cross of Yes, GG and Trespass-era Genesis.

Fine album indeed. Sounds more like Yes than any other to me though.

Wow !! I just received a fantastic prog CD in the mail today and although I have only played it once I`m pumped !!!   its a 70`s progressive band called Cathedral (not to be confused with the heavy metal band) The CD I  received is called ... Cathedral  Stained Glass Stories   and I`ll be honest with you it sounds like very high quality Gentle Giant  crossed with Peter Gabriel`s Genesis  and some UK in there as well ... This band is sensational and can hardly believe what I am hearing . Has anybody else got any info on Cathedral ? I wonder why they are not that well known as they deserve to be better known !

If you manage to find a copy of this CD and you like Genesis, Gentle Giant , VDGG or UK do yourself a favour and get it !  Smile

70`s Cathedral only made one CD  ..  I`m not joking its  Clap
