hahah... I was just thinking about that myself... have a few 'gems' in the collection.... should start a 'obscure gems' thread... sort of like Assaf's recommendation thread. mini-reviews and things like that. I'll start one later this evening... gotta run for a bit.... Edited by micky - May 28 2006 at 19:04 |

Yes, what would be objective criteria for that? Less than 10 ratings on PA and no more ratings added for at least 3 months (obscure), averaging above 4.5 (gem)? |

Something like that ... maybe number of ratings between 5 and 25, with the same sorting algorithm like current top 100.
All it would take would be two additional inputs on the top 100 page! |

^You have to take out the prog related genre. Otherwise bands like ELO and Fairport convention come into the picture. And while they are very good and i have a lot of their albums i hardly think they are obscure.

Hey, that's a great idea. Instead of having the top 100 albums on the front page, reduce it to 50 and put the top 50 obscure in it's place, or something like that.

54, but there are a couple I don't really care for. I am glad I looked again, because there are a few that I have been meaning to check out.
