These are some of my favourite Maiden songs. (Of course I like Hallowed be thy name etc.. but I excluded them so we won´t have a runaway winner)

Which one would you choose?

Hallowed be thy name!! Wink

I just have The Number of the Beast so I fear I can't really choose. The album I have is awesome though.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

So many good songs here... OK, having to choose (preferably without any guns pointed to my precious head...Wink), I voted for the highly underrated "To Tame a Land" (initially called "Dune", until they were forced to change the name). However, "Paschendale" is also a fantastic track (and if that's not prog, then what is?) - check the live version on the "Death on the Road" DVD, it's nothing short of stunning. Personally, I would've included "Dance of Death" as well - I was watching it yesterday evening, and every time it gets more and more superb (and it's proof enough that a certain golden-haired guitarist can definitely play and write songs as well as the others....LOL).

I haven't yet... I'm going to have to sell my house very soon if I keep up with the current CD- and DVD-buying rate! LOL Unfortunately, I'm afraid the aforementioned guitarist with the golden locks won't be featured in that video...Wink

Seriously, though, if I don't see IM on this site I may do something rash very soon... and Rainbow too... OK, better keep my mouth shut... I avoided posting in the Blind Guardian thread to avoid digging that up once again!LOL

^Hah! We are growing stronger! Maiden will be in the archives someday!!!Tongue

Ghost Rider, join our little crusade!!!! Some people already wanna force maiden in here (including myself and Maidenrulez/Lindsay Lohan).

If Nightwish, Deep Purple, Queensryche and Queen are here... So must Maiden!!!Angry
Maiden had a far bigger influence on modern prog metal than Queensryche!!!

Love them as i do, Maiden are not prog. They are NWOBHM and have had a tremendous influence on prog metal  but if anyone has any strong evidence for claiming Maiden are Prog they are welcome to state their case listing "Prog Elements" - I think Maiden should be in PA because...............Wink

Sure! Only for about a month, but still... And some still say that a band can't be kicked out of PA, and just don't "remember" any issues with KatatoniaTongue
