It's not offensive to call them "dinosaurs". They're the classic old Prog bands and all Prog started there, so it's good to call them "dinosaurs".

I see nothing wrong with calling them Dinosaurs. It's like if someone said prog Giants or something like that, it would not be offensive in the LEAST bit.

We wouldn't say "oh, giants are slow and dumb, we can't call the great prog bands that!"

Mandrakeroot would you mind explaining to me how being called a dinosaur can be OFFENSIVE???? It really takes determination to find something offensive in the whole dinosaur thing.

Most dinosaurs had very small brains, this surely does not appeal to members of the greatest prog. bands  ever.

At least today they can be considered as dinosaurs. They were big, and they are kind of ancient in the eyes of today's youth. Many of those old bands are also "extinct", like dinosaurs.

But what's wrong with dinosaurs? I ask myself. It's not my choice of word if I wish to offend someone.

The Prog band/ artists of gold period (1967/ 1976) are from a lot definited "DINOSAURS". Even though this definition is offensive, I the use and I find that is nice. But it is just or except for to define them so?

I would define them "GOLDEN CLASSICAL PROG BANDS/ ARTISTS"!!!
