I indeed plan to get that 2-in-1 deal sometime soon, as I believe it's worth the money.  The Pataphysical Alphabet is great!

I have one and two on one CD. A great buy! Volume Two is fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere and all the songs flows brilliantly together. Its that Carlfloydfan one star, ruining the rating for it.

A natural, more sophisticated follow up to the first, and a lot more fun than Third (That still is a great classic).

I don't have Volume Two yet, but have an Anthology with some tracks from it.

I voted for Rock Bottom.  A work of a genius.  A masterpiece and my favourite album of all time, of any genre.

Seriously!

And that's tough for me to say when I'm a VdGG fanboy.

Only one vote for Third, and no votes at all for Volume Two? Rock Bottom is mine, and obviously many peoples favorite, but I was sure Soft Machine were a lot more known and popular than Robert Wyatt solo.

BTW: His latest album Cuckooland is highly reccomended.

I go with "The end of an ear", one of the most innovative, creative, unclassificable expression of prog-rock

I have never quite recovered after hearing soft's first album...and they were unhappy with it! Loved Wyatt's early drumming and vocals most, but still a fan of all of his later stuff.

Rock Bottom, with Shleep a close second. The Animals soundtrack aside, there isn't a substandard album among them.

These are the full studioalbums with I know of with amazing percussionist/vocalist/songwriter etc..Robert Wyatt contributing on all or most of the tracks. I vote for Rock Bottom, but love most of these. What is your favorite?
