After Powell, Dio and Blackmore, I thought this guy was fantastic, their Keyboardist Tony Carey.
He seems to be have been rather busy after leaving Rainbow

Have a look at his discography, itīs really impressive that he has managed to release so many albums!
He has a big hit with "Fine fine day" which although isnīt hard rock, is very nice to listen to.

Unfortunately, I must admit I don't know almost anything about TC's solo output. However, on Glenn Hughes's forum (please, don't tell Sean...Wink), I've heard him mentioned as a great songwriter and lyricist.

He had a couple other minor solo hits, "I Won't Be Home Tonight" and "First Day Of Summer".  As well as "Why Me" and "What I See" with the Planet P Project.
