I've always thought weed smelled worse. Of course, you get some "extra benefits" from it, so all in all it's a good dealWink

Thankfully, Scotland has now banned smoking in all enclosed public places. What a difference.

I am no advocate of smoking, but there is no conclusive evidence of any harm being caused by second hand smoke. I f you check it out, you can see that the facts have been twisted in order to serve propaganda.

Holy sh*t Tony!!!!

You're a f**king monster in a respectable way.

If I go to bar to play a gig, I don't even have ten done by the end of the night, and that's getting home at like three in the morning.

Someone should make a PA addiction breaking service LOL

As far as cigarettes, never touched the stuff, never plan to. I avoid anything that could even become slightly addictiong. (Except caffeine of course...but that actually helps me as far as focus w/ music...heheh....)

And if you have a cigarette adiction, just be pretetious instead. You get be looked up to and save money on beer and cigarettes.

It's progressive. I quit for two and half years started again and it wasn't 6 months before I was back to 2-3 packs a day. That lasted almost three years.  Quit again two years ago August and I gained all sorts of weight too.  Not sure what a stone is in lbs Tony but I have gained 35-40 lbs in two years. Shocked

Weed doesn't really smell that good either, but I assure you that sitting beside a heavy smoker on a bus isn't nice at all. They do smell, and they smell really bad. Far worse than weed!

On average, 5-10 a day (but I don't count if at the pub, at festivals or at a club); not a good habit, I admit - I'd like to think one day I'll give up, but I've still got a load of tobacco I bought back from holiday, so that'd be a waste of money

Oh yes - that, and that first cigarette when you've just sat down in the pub with your first pint of the night - heaven!

The same here.

You mean you've never smoked, or you smell awful?

I once gave up for 3 yrs.................back on them for the last 10 yrs or so.......... it goes up and down, my partner gave up 2 1/2 yrs ago and I see the benefits he has, although he still longs for one! He was a fairly heavy smoker, I am down to 5- 10 a day like Jim. (although like Tony R, a night out can add quite a lot to that!!! )
That first one with your first cuppa is great, also after a meal with friends and wine, sat back from the table...........bliss!

I havn't smoked indoors for years, and am now contemplating hypno therapy after many failed quit attempts.
I know it stinks, I know it's not healthy. Most of my daily smokes I don't really enjoy, it's something that I do, but there are one or two a day that I really, really enjoy!

Nasty habit tho, DON'T START!

I have always been active, but I see the difference now, when I am surfing with my buddies, I run out of puff on the paddle long before they do, and that's BAD!

Depends which side of the fence you're on I guess Bhikkhu.

When it comes to propaganda, the cigarette companies are the real experts.

True, very true. I guess that was why the anti-smoking advocates decided to use some of the same tactics. It just really bothers me when anyone makes a claim that is supposed to be backed up by evidence, and in actuality it isn't (ie: the Bush Administration).

Unfortunately yes I smoke cigarettes. I am 41 years old now and have been smoking since I was about 15. It is a horrible habit and I advise anyone who doesnt smoke now to keep it that way.
