POCHAKAITE MALKO for the Archives!!

This amazing Japanese RIO ensemble has released an excellent album a couple of years ago. Thier page is located at http://www.ab.cyberhome.ne.jp/~pochamal/pochakaite_malko/, which includes some samplers of their material.
Very good avant/prog stuff, indeed: the line-up includes KBB violinist moving apart from prog-fusion and taking a step further into the avant-garde side of prog.

I strongly require that all avant-prog specialist wise up and include this great band into the Archives. There's lots of avant-prog bands out there that are paid attention to in other sites while they remain ignored in this Encyclopedia. Not fair and not coherent - this is a huge prog  site and it can't afford the luxury of ommiting so many bands out there.

   Kind regards.

Hi Cesar,

I have heard this group before and I agree with your proposal to include them.

However, I am not alone on the team and can't add bands at my own discretion, and the whole team needs to vote on this. As soon as they are approved (assuming they are), I can add them, or you can.

I know things take time to get done here, but not everyone are available to dedicate time for PA affairs. The same goes to the other bands you suggested today.

Well done with October Equus... BUT WHAT ABOUT PM? A great band not to be overlooked by the PA teams any longer, and I mean "any longer".

   Kind regards.

Better late than never       ...

I've recently been listening to Laya, the second PM album, and they're absolutely brilliant, defintely an essential addition to the archives. Bassist Shigekazu Kuwahara was in the original Koenjihyakkei line up and there's something of Koenji's Zeuhl fusion insanity in their music, but they're closer to the prog mainstream than most Japanese Zeuhl influenced bands. Good recommendation Cesar, and I'll try to research a bio in the next couple of months.

To me it sounds even more Macedonian/Bulgarian but who knows? Interesting anyway.
