Not all reviews in the archive meet the highest review standards (what ever they are), but there are many great reviews here. Besides, all people can't be top notch writers, but still everybody is encouraged to try and give their share. Writing reviews, is the only way of getting better at it.

How very nice... And yes, I'd very gladly eat myself, so conceited, arrogant, big-headed and what not as I am! As my dear friend Stonie said, I don't see why you have to be falsely humble when you know what your work is worth. I'm very proud of my reviews, and I have no problems in stating that loud and clear - sorry if somebody takes exception to that. If you dislike this site and its members so much, I don't really see what you're still doing here - unless you get a kick out of insulting people who've done nothing wrong to you. As to our being "conceited prats", I'm sure you have nothing to learn from us here...

err... You don't like Prog then? What are you doing here if you go elsewhere for your music? How can you possibly join in any of the discussions if you've never heard any of the bands in the archives? I'm not calling you a liar, but here's a line from a thread you started; " I have/had (i can't remember which) the first 2 Marrilion albums" ...both of which have been reviewed on this very site - Not least by me  - this would seem to contradict your statement somewhat. Can you write a review that doesn't include personal taste and nonsense? I'd like to see that! Can you spell review?

Just to get in on the action here... from what I have read in this thread so far - many reviewers have pointed out that there are album reviews that they are not proud of. I cannot see smugness in that. !!

Wow, it must take forever to go through every song that can be downloaded, until you find one you like. Me, I'll follow my buddies here like a good little sheep. I have discovered much good music through the reviews here. I also have not wasted my money on some, because I could tell they were not for me. You guys are aces!   (pass me that facial scrub please. )

Yeah...and bin what i don't like........it's all relevant.....I don't see the need for the Spanish inquisition......as i said before personal taste and freedom.
There are so many prog bands not featured on here, that have gone by without a mention, that i have managed to aquire. Many of the bands on here i have no intention of aquiring, especially the prog metal nonsense. Give me real heavy metal.
But i like the chance to voice an opinion, something i thought progarchives was famous for. Rudeness, or nastiness is only measured in the individual, a bit like religion. We all have opinions to voice, especially if it doesn't sit well with the heirarchy.
