In case you didn't notice...quite a few posters criticized their own reviews too.

Quite alright Moon - nice to see others read the whole thread before making comments Wink

err...

You don't like Prog then?

What are you doing here if you go elsewhere for your music? How can you possibly join in any of the discussions if you've never heard any of the bands in the archives?

I'm not calling you a liar, but here's a line from a thread you started; "I have/had (i can't remember which) the first 2 Marrilion albums"

...both of which have been reviewed on this very site - Not least by me - this would seem to contradict your statement somewhat.

Can you write a review that doesn't include personal taste and nonsense? I'd like to see that!

Can you spell review?

What a stupid topic, this is my best? For gods sake, only people reading your reveiws can state such a veiw, and not the reveiwers themselves.

How very nice... And yes, I'd very gladly eat myself, so conceited, arrogant, big-headed and what not as I am! As my dear friend Stonie said,  I don't see why you have to be falsely humble when you know what your work is worth. I'm very proud of my reviews, and I have no problems in stating that loud and clear - sorry if somebody takes exception to that.

If you dislike this site and its members so much, I don't really see what you're still doing here - unless you get a kick out of insulting people who've done nothing wrong to you. As to our being "conceited prats", I'm sure you have nothing to learn from us here...

Not all reviews in the archive meet the highest review standards (what ever they are), but there are many great reviews here. Besides, all people can't be top notch writers, but still everybody is encouraged to try and give their share. Writing reviews, is the only way of getting better at it.

So, rudely criticizing people for their work is about being an independant individual while you haven't done anything, while actually doing some work yourself makes you a conceited sheep? That sounds like disrespect to me. I suggest you stay away from this thread until you recover from your Premenstrual stress syndrome, spacecraft.

Istarted this thread with good intentions and some of you guys just didn`t get it. I`ll listen to anyone`s opinion on an album whether it be bad good impartial or whatever. There is no reason for anger here we are all in the same boat , fans of a unique musical style. I would suggest that those who have negativity in their lives to grow up and lighten up.Thanks Easy Livin for the comment.Smile

Thanks!  By the way, how does one get the Prog Reviewer label?  I have already over 35 reviews I think...  By the way, good luck in finding that album!!!

I like it. It tells me what I want know, and it is interesting. You do a good job of being objective, while still including your personal feelings.

Yes, pretty nice, but as you said, Holdsworth´s album should be at least 10 minutes longer, your review should be at least 50 words longer WinkLOL

Two points boys and girls, one what i meant basically was that i have never bought an album or downloaded one, on the basis of the reviews in here, as i don't generally read them anyway.

Point two, my avatar is the actual Giger painting and not Brain Salad Surgery album cover, there is a difference if you have a brain.
