Topic: Moonlight vs. Watcher Posted: September 06 2006 at 13:03 |
These two have rapidly become favorites, kicking off two amazing Gabriel era albums. Which is your favorite? E iTunes: "Dancing With The Moonlight Knight" from SEBTP

Dancing With the Moonlight Knight for certain, much more accomplished musically, and better, more sly and inventive lyrics

I'll have to dial up "Watcher" once SEBTP is over. Really like that tune, as well. Aaahhh, "Firth Of Fifth" just came on. Could be Genesis' most perfect tune. Even liked this before my recent fascination with Gabriel-era Genesis. E

"Moonlit Knight...". I actually consider "Watcher of the Skies" a great song, but the weakest track off "Foxtrot".

"Watcher..." is by far the best track on "Foxtrot", which is not my favourite Genesis album - but then, "Dancing..." is probably my favourite Genesis track of all. So, a very easy choice for me...

"Watcher of the Skies." If you've seen my posts on this, it should come as no surprise.

I've picked up Watcher because it has not earned a single vote, although I much more prefer Moonlit, perfect opener

I pick Watcher, simply because it has one of the best Genesis intros ever. Gotta love Steve Hackett's version on Genesis Revisited.

There's something about the intro to " Watcher" which is a cut above... I guess the image of Gabriel with the batwings does it for me.
