Hi, folks... only to say that many reports here were already dealt with or are in march ... including those 2 lists posted by Clarke/Moris. Thanks again!

Is this a thing of anyone reading reviews or about anyone writing decent stuff for an album?
Really, the argument that everything was already said for albums who have 100+ reviews already, or that anyone should just scribble 10 words per review just to make some atmosphere over that album don't fit. For one, the policy encourages more than 2 words. And for another thing, I've mentioned cacho writing decent enough reviews, without bringing in discussion ideas like "who reads page-long reviews" or "what can I say anymore about this album that hasn't been said". Thus, why create the shortest of reviews for some particular albums, if it looks like he hasn't got what to say? (Of course, I could put a mean line right now such as; "perhaps he's trying to level up his review number") Edited by Ricochet - February 07 2008 at 01:56 |

I don't think this is a review. It's a promo statement by the band.

The current Animals review has an F-bomb. Doesn't bother me personally but I assume that's against the rules, eh?

^ Exactly what he did.
I always wonder what for some people write almost page-long reviews on DSOTM, Close To The Edge etc. Do they seriously hope anyone will read them? Edited by NotAProghead - February 06 2008 at 19:10 |

Regardless if the album has many reviews or not, you have to write at least a few sentences I think.

If there are 195 ratings, I think cacho said enough.
Who needs new long reviews when everything is already said thousand times? |

PINK FLOYD — Final Cut, The
Review by cacho
The Wall third part........ and another one...cacho knows to write normal reviews, I don't understand why he choose some albums for which he only writes 4 words... but anyway, I think the limit remained 50 words, no? |

You're welcome...I know it's time-consuming and you're doing the great deal of work here..and some of them probably can't be proven as abusive. But there are a few real nasty abusers, that will hopefully dissappear. Take your time:) Edited by clarke2001 - February 06 2008 at 08:32 |

Which reviews exactly are you reffernig to, Mandy? I've found this one: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=160232, and that's the classical case of abuse. The review could be decent if there would be no commenting of other's reviews. |

This is the link of Stige's page. Personally, I have nothing against Stige. While in some reviews attacked me and Joolz (if I
remember correctly). Then I do not understand how we may be post reviews
from my computer! In any case say when wait to see if it betrays. If
nothing else to see how far you can go. (But if you want to lock you well!) In any case (because I want to clarify immediately)
Ely78 is helped by me to write reviews and inserts from my computer. But it is
the only one that is authorized to do so (with Sole, my mother). With the administrators I have explained everything but I
also said that I would have preferred not to have included more reviews to avoid
further discussions. But some recent events have led me to authorise Ely78 to
write reviews (always with my help) that unfortunately will also many albums
that I already reviewed. I write this post to be fair and to remove any doubts that
may be in the future. |

OK, I know about freedom of speech and all that, but this review seems a bit excessive to me, and it's definitely not a good thing for the site:
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=17308 This guy has been ranting about TBiG for days, and while one is entitled to their own tastes, there is something slightly worrying about the way he expresses his hatred for the album. Ah, and do we really need to see 'horrible' repeated six or seven times? |

Thanks, Moris... we'll be checking them all... but the process of deleting a great amount of reviews (if proved abusive) is really painful and dragging.

Holy God....Is there something honest in this reviews? The use of Mandrakroot as a name is really abusive.
Look at the ratings of both:
MANDRAKROOT
GENESIS - Nursery Cryme
VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR - Pawn Hearts VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR - Godbluff GENESIS - Selling England By The Pound GENESIS - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway HAMMILL, PETER - Sitting Targets HACKETT, STEVE - Voyage Of The Acolyte RENAISSANCE - Scheherazade and Other Stories PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI - Per Un Amico A.C.T. - Last Epic ORME, LE - Uomo Di Pezza CAMEL - Moonmadness GRYPHON - Red Queen to Gryphon Three SUPERTRAMP - Crime of the Century Stagger Lee
VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR - Godbluff
GENESIS - Selling England By The Pound GENESIS - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway GENESIS - Nursery Cryme HACKETT, STEVE - Voyage Of The Acolyte SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM - Of Natural History BUSH, KATE - The Dreaming CAMEL - Moonmadness GRYPHON - Red Queen to Gryphon Three SUPERTRAMP - Crime of the Century PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI - Per Un Amico ORME, LE - Uomo Di Pezza GROBSCHNITT - Solar Music - Live RUSH - Hemispheres MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA - Birds of Fire DUN - Eros I'm a Genesis fan, but this is abuse, I believe the reviews and ratings of both must be deleted. obviously is the same person.
Hardly two guys will mention Renaissamce (Sheherezade), Le Orme (Uomo Di Pezza), Gryphon (Red Queen to Gryphon Tree) and Camel's Moonmadness to give only one star, because they are so diverse thaat the odds of two persons with such coincidence must be 1 in 10,000 if not less....If this same two persons like the same Genesis albums and Voyage of the Acolyte, the odds should be more or less the same you need to win the Lotto.
