OK, I know about freedom of speech and all that, but this review seems a bit excessive to me, and it's definitely not a good thing for the site:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=17308

This guy has been ranting about TBiG for days, and while one is entitled to their own tastes, there is something slightly worrying about the way he expresses his hatred for the album. Ah, and do we really need to see 'horrible' repeated six or seven times?

This is the link of Stige's page. Personally, I have nothing against Stige. While in some reviews attacked me and Joolz (if I remember correctly). Then I do not understand how we may be post reviews from my computer!

In any case say when wait to see if it betrays. If nothing else to see how far you can go. (But if you want to lock you well!)

In any case (because I want to clarify immediately) Ely78 is helped by me to write reviews and inserts from my computer. But it is the only one that is authorized to do so (with Sole, my mother). With the administrators I have explained everything but I also said that I would have preferred not to have included more reviews to avoid further discussions. But some recent events have led me to authorise Ely78 to write reviews (always with my help) that unfortunately will also many albums that I already reviewed.

I write this post to be fair and to remove any doubts that may be in the future.

Which reviews exactly are you reffernig to, Mandy?

I've found this one: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=160232, and that's the classical case of abuse. The review could be decent if there would be no commenting of other's reviews.

You're welcome...I know it's time-consuming and you're doing the great deal of work here..and some of them probably can't be proven as abusive. But there are a few real nasty abusers, that will hopefully dissappear. Take your time:)

GENESIS — Abacab
Review by cacho

1%20stars The only good but i think it's great is their self title track. But the rest is garbage!! Oh and what's this ?!!! Who Dunnit !!!! The worst track ever in any type of music!!!

Not recomendable for anyone! Prefer Shapes or Duke!

short, just like anyone bored of an album he doesn't like at all would write.

what's the "Shapes" album, anyway? Genesis-related?

PINK FLOYD — Final Cut, The
Review by cacho

3%20stars The Wall third part........

Good album. But up to there. Doesn't have any highlight and it has weak spots. A recomendable album if you like The Wall. Not very prog. It's like The Wall but darker lyrics and music!. Hope you have good dreams with it..........

and another one...cacho knows to write normal reviews, I don't understand why he choose some albums for which he only writes 4 words...

but anyway, I think the limit remained 50 words, no?

If there are 195 ratings, I think cacho said enough.

Regardless if the album has many reviews or not, you have to write at least a few sentences I think.

^ Exactly what he did.

I always wonder what for some people write almost page-long reviews on DSOTM, Close To The Edge etc. Do they seriously hope anyone will read them?

The current Animals review has an F-bomb.  Doesn't bother me personally but I assume that's against the rules, eh?Wink

I don't think this is a review.  It's a promo statement by the band.

Is this a thing of anyone reading reviews or about anyone writing decent stuff for an album?

Really, the argument that everything was already said for albums who have 100+ reviews already, or that anyone should just scribble 10 words per review just to make some atmosphere over that album don't fit. For one, the policy encourages more than 2 words. And for another thing, I've mentioned cacho writing decent enough reviews, without bringing in discussion ideas like "who reads page-long reviews" or "what can I say anymore about this album that hasn't been said". Thus, why create the shortest of reviews for some particular albums, if it looks like he hasn't got what to say?

(Of course, I could put a mean line right now such as; "perhaps he's trying to level up his review number")

Hi, folks... only to say that many reports here were already dealt with or are in march ... including those 2 lists posted by Clarke/Moris.

Thanks again!

Frankly was a general speech about Stige.

In fact, I heard from a dealer of computers that you can use your computer and get the e-mail from another computer. A hacker could do it well.

And this happened. Is revealed that Stige sent reviews from my computer. So Bob suspected were the same person ... But I believe that I clarified.

So I asked to be blocked Stige's account.

The review that I mentioned should be: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=160232, precisely what you wrote above.

Okay, I've given up the idea that cacho's more than a short-reviewes writer, but I find, again, this one totally unessential and weak

KING CRIMSON — Islands
Review by cacho

4%20stars Very underrated.... I love this album a very good one.... Great songs...

Formentera Lady: An unforgottable song.

Sailor's Tale: a very nice tune. Has anyone heard the middle part wow is amazing.

The letters: a very acoustic one.

Ladies of the roads: Great! Fabolous. Very mystic... Love that sax.

Prelude song of the gulls: perhaps this is the weak one.

Islands: Great one.

(If NotAProghead, cacho himself or other people think I got an interest on bugging over cacho's review, I sincerely have nothing against the guy, except against his reviews that appear to me so inappropriate...)

MARS VOLTA, THE — The Bedlam In Goliath
Review by dothefunthing (Colin TUrner)

5%20stars I don't understand all of the terrible ratings for this album. It is absolutely silly to slap Bedlam with a bad rating because TMV changed their sound again. Everyone has a different favorite Volta album because each is fantastic in its own way. Yes, this album is aggressive and more easily accessible (perhaps) than their other albums, but it is absolutely solid track by track, all the way through. The fast tracks are relentless and incredible, the slow jams are delicious. I think from now on there should be a 7-day moratorium on Mars Volta reviews when a new album comes out, as it seems everyone is much too hasty in their judgement. Is this not one of the best albums of the past 25 years?? If it isn't, you're wrong. Sorry, that's just how it is. I've never heard men speak like these men before...... you guys are unbelievable

Half of the review is more a rant.
