So...why did you name yourself after them then?

this band trys too hard to be like bands that they look up to.
'long and long ago' is a litl bit too much like Yes's 'Parallel's' wait no its practically the same song
Try being original!!!! I mean i cant think of one great band that was original and actually created good music wait perhaps Gentle Giant or ELP.

Holy crap! I saw this band out of the corner of my eye here...looked 'em up at Wikipedia...a prog rock band, with traces of Yes, Genesis and ELP...AND THEY'RE STILL RECORDNIG 'N STUFF?!?
Holy crap (he said again)! I think I've found a band that I'm going to look into. I mean, "on their 2000 album Chronometree, which told the story of a drug-addled progressive rock fan who becomes convinced aliens are speaking to him through the music he listens to." That's, like, the story of my life!

Lex Rex is the best I've heard so far - a lot like Yes's Going for the One, and almost that excellent.
Inconsolable Secret should have been called the Inconsolable Filler - narry a hook nor an exciting instrumental passage to be found. I could only get through it once.

Once is hardly enuf to judge that album. It is a grower. Some of disk two can drag, but it will reveal itself if you give it time. Do you think at this point in their career they simply wanted to make an album with a few hooks that would grab the listener after one listen? I think they are beyond that. Has anyone read the poem the album is based on all the way through? Haven't gotten around to it yet. Wondered if you found it initeresting.

Chronometree is my favorite album from them but their best song is Run Lisette.

I love Lex Rex. But I agree with richardh, the narration is a drag.

Lex Rex (despite the annoying narrative between tracks).I love the track 'Tales Of The Great Wars' especially.
TIS suffers from a seriously boring second disc although the first disc contains some very fine modern symp prog.Shadowlands and Chronomotree are both solid albums that are close to Lex Rex.I havn't heard anything else by them.

Last place on earth you'd think a fine prog band would come from. I got my autographed copy of the DVD too and it's one of my favorites. I like how they put the music first and omit the video gimmickry and special efx. I'd just as soon see the show than a bunch of video games. E

Shadowlands is a superb album,no weak tracks at all.My favorite is the epic Behind the Great Beyond. Lex Rex is awesome too,and the first disc of The Inconsolable Secret is good, but disc 2 contains too much filler that I could have done without.

I like most Chronometree and The Inconsolable Secret the most. I don't mind the vocals in CHronometree as much, but it could have been better, you are right.
The cd with the two long epics in "Secret" is really great, in my opinion.
