Welcome to the forum. Of course you wouldn't know that this has been discussed many times as has Iron Maiden's inclusion.

You can post a thread in the newbies section to introduce yourself.

They were rejected, as they were not seen proggy enough. I don't know the exact details of this event. I'll survive without 'em.

It's odd isn't it.  I'd never have classified Iron Maiden as anything but Heavy Metal either.  Led Zepellin were far more creative and inventive; if you listen to a lot of Led Zeppelin you find that Jimmy Page was the first to play many riffs and guitar styles that you hear used later by other bands.
When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.

I am wondering why Led Zeppelin, one of the great bands of the 70's, are not featured on Prog Archives. Everyone would answer me that Led Zep is not prog, I know, but it's certainly the most prog related hard rock band of the 70's and most certainly more prog related than let's say Iron Maiden. So can anyone from the site can explain that to me? Am I the only one wondering about that? Thanks for considering my request.
