I have bumps all over my lawn.

These bumps are the nests of ants.

The ants are most copious.

The attract woodpeckers to my garden.

This I do not mind. They are interesting to see as I look up from my desk.

What?

Is there a way to make silverfish less copious other than obtaining a spider?

Cucumber. The little buggers can't stand the stuff.

They do like starch thou' so best not to use cucumber sandwiches.

Unfortunately books and their bindings are a fine source of starch so they tend to make silverfish very copious. Cucumber would keep the little buggers away but it isn't too good for the books. Cry

And they dispose of the carcasses of other insects to keep the ground tidy.

How much to ants cost if you buy them in Finland?

Wasn't Ants in the Fridge the unreleased Stones album from '75 ?
