Topic: Subarachnoid Space - Dark PsychedelismPosted: February 14 2007 at 13:44 |

Subarachnoid Space is a dark psychedelic band from San Francisco formed in 1996. Their music, mostly instrumental features long slow pieces of strange and obscure soundscapes in the vein of Hawkwind's Space Ritual, but more down-tempo and evolving, with tortured improvising spacey guitars. Their sound is quite modern and unique, transporting you to lost and unknown galaxies to explore... They release nearly a dozen of albums/EP, most of them containing long pieces of mindblowing and growing music ! Official website : An unique experience ! Highly recommended to space/psychedelic rock explorers ! |

They're on the post-rock chart, and they've been cleared for addition, but I agree that Psych/Space might be more appropriate for them after all.

Thanks guys. Since they have already been cleared by the post-rock team maybe we can add them to the psych genre without evaluating them. I'll talk to my fellow teammates about them.
By the way Modrigue, would you like to write a bio for them? |
