Topic: The Perfect Element Pt. 1 vs. Remedy Lane Posted: February 19 2007 at 12:12 |
I keep flip-flopping between these two. Normally I'd go after TPE; however, I finished up Remedy Lane in the car and that is one fine disc. I may bave to spin Element again here shortly, but right now I'd have to give it to Remedy Lane. E iTunes: "The Cinema Show" from Genesis' Selling England By The Pound

I just listened to these two back to back over the weekend, and in my mind there is no comparison: Perfect Element all the way.

Perfect Element. But it's a really, really close call.

Preferably both. But The Perfect Element is an even better album in my book.

No contest for me. TPE starts wonderfully but halfway down gets boring and tiresome... Had it stayed at the same level throughout the whole disc, it would've been a 5/5. But it's not. On the other hand, RE is a masterpiece, my number 5 album ever, 5/5. Perfecto.
Yes, and it's from the same angry guy that hates everybody in Scarsick.

I pretty much agree with The T's sentiments. The Perfect Element starts off wonderfully but does seem to meander a bit while Remedy Lane just keeps growing and building and is outstanding from start to finish.
Remedy Lane for me.

Perfect Element. It has all the elements ( ) and the closer is possibly my favorite song by PoS. I love Remedy Lane as well.

The Perfect Element. Possibly the most perfect album ever! Remedy Lane is a stunning piece of work too.

In my time here there have been at least two other polls on this exact topic, both of which resulted in The Perfect Element Part 1 winning over Remedy Lane.
I'm surprised to see currently Remedy Lane is winning. Then again these are small polls.

Both are perfect, but Remedy Lane is so viscerally emotional, and I prefer the individual musicianship on it. So Remedy Lane.

Both are equal in my opinion, a very tough poll.
I decided to vote for The Perfect Element Pt.1 because the last song on the disk is one of my favorite songs.
