Topic: Progs most "opinionated" & out spoken ? Posted: February 20 2007 at 03:25 |
Being "opinionated" isn't always a bad quality though sometimes it can be perceived as a little bit arrogant , each of the names above have either made comments that have caused some angst in one way or another for some people, or they have expressed certain "opinions" in their lyrics that has cause some degree of reservation for some people ...

I dunno... Maybe Waters, didn't he write a rock opera because he hated the fans and/or critics so much?

sorry, this is absolutely useless... none of these characters have ever tested my patience for the comments and blurps they have made and i am sure that i am not alone in appreciating musicians being true to themselves and VOICING their opinions if the have one at all. that, to me, is a key to success. so, no problem with this poll, except the attached negativity, which is misplaced. my favourite OUTSPOKEN character: rick wakeman. whistler: waters indeed wrote “the wall“ because he hated everything, even himself, so much at that time...

Yeah and most of the time pointlessly.
Anyway, zappa (the most controversial) has my vote, even though Fripp's the most arrogant person in the whole music industry (too bad, considered how great his music is)...
