About 20 years ago a friend played me a demo tape by Trevor Rabin which was recorded shortly before he joined Yes (could possibly be credited to Cinema).

It featured a track called something like 'It ain't easy' and the chorus went something like "girl it ain't easy livin' without you, loving ain't easy livin' within" (???)

A couple of years ago when 90124 was released I was disappointed that it was omitted. Does anyone else know this song and if it is available (bootleg? mp3?) anywhere? It's not really what one would refer to as a progressive track but I remember it as a nice song and would dearly love to aquire it.

I believe the song you are refering to is on the Yesyears boxset & is an extra track on the 90125 remaster!

The intro to that song was used as the intro to 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' in concert!

Don't think it's make it easy. Had a listen to a sample of that and the intro sounds identical to another pre-Yes track that does appears on 90124 called Cinema

The song I'm refering to sounds more like a west coast, Boston style powerchord big chorus type thing.

Here is a write up of the 90124 album and it looks as if the tracklisting was changed from the original idea to include more embrionic Yes tracks. I think the track I'm after may be called "Love Ain't Easy"
