Tanz Der Lemminge!
But Phallus Dei is really close. Both are five-star albums in my book.

Ah!!!!! a poll of a GREAT, GREAT band!!!!!!!!
Ah! Genesis fanatics, forget for once about TRESSPASSand listen to AMONDUUL 2 and see what prog is really about.
All their albums from PHALLUS DEI to VIVE LA TRANCE are......FANTASTIC!!!!!!
Maybe ''Carnival in Babylon'' is a little bit weaker
But in my IMHO, WOLF CITY is the winner
but tomorrow coud be YETI or TDL

Both Phallus Dei and Yeti are on top there for me, and followed by Wolf City and Tanz der Lemminge....
Did you get those remasters ?

the first 3 pretty much define the band for me. nothing earth shattering but great in the development of krautrock, eastern influenced prog and experimental musics, as the germans were looking for their feet.

Come on there's no need to bash Genesis. I do agree that Amon Duul II are an amazing band, but there's no reason to go out of your way and bash another excellent prog band.

For me Wolf city is best, tremendous album. Yeti is also an impressive album but sometimes just a tad too experimental for me, same goes for Tanz.

I am not bashing GENESIS, i have the albums as well, at least the prog period and enjoy them too.
Just sometimes Genesis fans seem not knowing anything else and act like cultists/lol

Yes, no need for the Genesis fan bashing. They are easily my fave band, BUT I adore Amon Duul II as well.
Hard to pick a favourite, I think 'Wolf City' just clinches it but 'Yeti' runs it very, very close.

None of their albums stink, but Yeti is the real classic of the bunch.

Every day is a phallic day. Phallus Dei put me in a phallus daze. It's divine. Yeti is abominable (snowman). Great too.
