Congratulations.
 Yes, Tony, as I suggested to our Jim in a PM, I'm only afraid that he WON't be able to be "mad' any more. With all due respect (that's a LOT!) I remember great forum guys like yourself and Bob simply being (and presumably having) a lot more fun, before you took on the responsibility of moderation.
Forum fun and a welcome relief from real-life stress & responsibilities becomes a job, with relentless exposure to the negative (through "report" PMs) and actively searching for abuse/rule breaking. (Ever meet a jaded, cynical cop? How about a peevish HS teacher?)
One also has to "set a good example."
 (mixed feelings -- sigh)
Well, again, Jim, my friend (if mods can have "friends"

) in the admin team.And I have a shed, it came with the house 4 years ago, so I hope you let me stay on. Any chance I can just sit at the table in the grey room, instead of sneeking underneath, hoping for spilled drops and falling crumbs? |
