Hey, Chopper! What's the status in the addition process?

It's the band Guthrie Govan is in with fellow Asia members (or were before the reunion of the original band members) John Payne and Jay Schellen.

if you search the site, you may find Guthrie Covan in the "Asia" section
btw the band addittion procedure has been made as easy as possible to submit bands you want to see on this site, but we do need something to work on
some history, mp3 samples, web site and reason for inclusion will do in most cases, and our genre teams will investigate further.

Of course, I think the band addition procedure is great and thorough - I'm just lazy. EDIT: I took the time to write up a band submission email but It is still 'sending' about an hour later, my internet is supposed to be fast damnit. EDIT: after many tribulations I finally managed to send it in.

I was thinking about doing it, but I wanted to check out if people were open to 'let him in' here first. Anyway, nice to see that my thread finally got some response!

I've heard some stuff by him, he is indeed very talented. I haven't heard enough to decide whether he's Prog or not, but I might check out some of his work. What I have heard sounded jazzy enough for inclusion.

Guthrie Govan is aweosme, he takes other shredders to school simply with his musicality, I love erotic cakes and especially rhode island shred (it's even better live).
I think he deserves a spot here under jazz rock/fusion, that's what his music is.

What do you think of this exceptionally skilled guitar virtuoso? I've been listening some to his album, "Erotic Cakes", a bit yesterday and today, and I must say I'm really impressed. I think he might belong on this site, perhaps under jazz rock/fusion, but I'm not really that good at deciding whether an artist is progressive enough to be here or not. Anyways, have you heard him? If so, what do you think? Might he be something for the Archives?
