There's not a lot to say about me really.  I am currently a freshman at the University of Arizona.  I really have two main interests, animals and music.  I am currently a Veterinary Science major, but I am seriously considering becoming a music major of some sorts...

I love playing the piano.  I've taken lessons for about eight years, and continue to play on an almost daily basis.  I am a substitute organ/piano player at two churchs here.  I can't say I really enjoy play liturgy or hymns too much, but the extra pay does put gas in the tank!

In all honesty, I'm not really new to this site at all.  I have been using the reviews here for years to help me find new artists.  As of recently I have had some pressure from a certain friend to join.  The straw that finally broke the camel's back was when "The Decemberists" were included in the archives.  I am a huge fan of the band, and i feel very compelled to write a review for at least one of their albums and probably many other albums...

I really should keep this to the short side I guess.  My musical tastes are about as wide as can be.  If there is one thing I hate, it is closed minded people.  I like some main-stream music, I like classical music, progressive music, and metal.

Some of my current favorite artists would have to be...

Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Explosions in the Sky
The Decemberists
Pain of Salvation
Dream Theater
Porcupine Tree
Dead Soul Tribe

And many others, that I'm not going to bother naming...  I made this way too long...

Pressure from a certain friend you say?  I wonder who that could be! Geek  Seriously though.. Welcome to the forums Scrub old pal Shocked  And for any of you out there who may doubt his tastes, he is the one who turned me on to the world of prog.  I am in his eternal gratitude now, and he has graced us with his presence here at progarhives! Shocked
