I cannot take Nu-metal seriously as a genre of music. |

fav of your least fav... easy...
loved the hair metal.... gave hope to us aspiring musicians in the 80's that lack of talent with good looks can get you places... I had too much talent.. and not enough looks though.. so I ended up as a footnote in the pages of musical history. It was fun... if you were around and didn't do those unison stage moves that Poison did in the mirror with your bass... you simply weren't living... never got into Industrial.... other than Ministry.. .oh man Psalm 69.... wow... I LOVE that album |

All of them are horrible, so I agree with you on that T.

I love NIИ, a lot. A whole lot. So I guess I;ll vote for that even though they're neither metal nor poppy.
Hair metal... Skid Row are great, the rest sucks I agree. Nu... some consider RATM nu metal, I don't think so but if so, that's my one exception, hate stuff like Slipknot and Linkin Park. You gotta admit that this is masterliness though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmZEbmk0Sc8 |

These three are my least favorite metal genres: I hate nu-metal, with Korn, Limp Biskit, and the others. That's why I can fully love Tool, as somehow (weirdly, I agree) they remind me of that genre. Deftones' first album was good. Industrial metal? Atrocious. I can't take Ministry nor "poppier" versions of industrial rock as Nine Inch Nails. Hair Metal? A disaster. But I would pick it as at least some songs in this genre had melodies.... I don't know.... what do you think?
