Stargazer definitely! I don't like Kashmir at all... Well, ok, maybe just a little. But I'm not a big fan of Zeppelin anyway...

Stargazer is a really good metal song. Kashmir is masterpiece. Kashmir by far.

Well...i'm gonna tell you somthing that DP fans may fell angry.....but...it's true....two tracks with eastern musical structures....but Kashmir was released in 1975 and was created in mid 1974....and since first Zep album we can find tracks with easter musical mixtures like Black Mountain side......Stargazer appeared in 1976-77 in Rainbow Rising album.....and hipnotic riff...like kashmir....yeas...i mean as always Blackmore pick up some somedody else's musical ideas....for example look tha last part of stargazer....and then listen last part of Kashmir....

Led Zep were one of the worst proponents of plaigarism ! 'Whole lotta love' just for starters!
Whilst I don't have any particular preference between the two songs, Blackmore steals his own solo from 'Stormbringer' . It's almost identical to the one he uses in Stargazer.

For me it's Stargazer.
kashmir is rocking, and has quite a Dose of wonderous moment's, but Stargazer is the ultimate hardrock epic, only few songs come close in really exciting me that much, a selection of those include Sleepwalkers from VDGG, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and Grendel by Marillion, and that's it, total entrancement and when it's on, no need to speak to me, for than I'm listening with all my senses.
one of the best songs ever created is Rainbows Stargazer, and Kashmir is just one of many great songs.

Kashmir reminds me of classical composition Bolero. It builds up, it keeps tension, it keeps flowing, it explodes. And trust me when i say that i had my fair share of Rainbow when i was a heavy metal kid. Zeppelin all the way.

They're both great tracks, though I have a personal preference for "Stargazer". However, I don't understand those who speak of plagiarism... "Stargazer" doesn't really sound anything like "Kashmir" - all they have in common is the length and epic scope, and perhaps that Oriental-inspired vibe. That's all, IMHO. If you really want a song that's clearly influenced by "Kashmir", I'd say, listen to Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers".

Let's see...i like "Stargazer" so much, it rocks, its great...but as always i suspect about Blackmore...in some point of his career time he was lost...i'm thinking in his personal influences and inspiration, muses, whatever....as musician and he begun to attend some elements of 1st position bands...emulating, whatever...to join the mainstream...and the mix rock and ethnic, mystic it's and example....i think he needed new ideas to leave DP...look again the hipnotic riff....the last part with G and A based scale like Kashmir...well the hipnotic riff is in E and Kashmir in D but i'm talkin about big structures.....and the chorus.....A minor to G in Stargazer ("...in the heat and the rain...") and Kashmir G minor to A. ("...All I see turns to brown...") ....more than one
I like stargazer but kasmir was unique in 70's

Kashmir has a great riff, but it's kind of boring and repetitive....and Plant...
On the other hand, Stargazer is varied, full of melodies, amazing, and Dio just RULES...
