hey, i just stumbled across this site, " free albums galore" ( http://freealbums.blogsome.com/ ) its a blog that lists and reviews entire albums that can be found online for download (legally) by international and unknown artists. i found some stuff that, if no one knows about already, they need too! especially avant-garde music...

Kletka Red: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2007/04/20/kletka-red-two-albums/
an Israeli avant-garde band fusing punk/noise to traditional klezmer...incredible

Ne Zhdali: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2007/03/02/ne-zhdali-several-albums/
the band that came before Kletka Red, much quieter, jazzier

the unnecessary revolution: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2006/09/26/the-unnecessary-revolution-two-albums/
awesome band, mostly French lyrics, quiter and jazzy, would make incredible coffee-shop music

Zloty Dawai: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2006/10/19/zloty-dawai-dada-work-chant/
utterly fantastic free-jazz, electronic, experimental...just keep an open mind...their albums are done in a single take, with no editing etc.  (they have a second album you should be able to find as well..just as good)

isuzu-kochiwa: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2007/01/13/isuzu-kochiwa-disassembling-the-molecules/
very cool concept album, a very Fantomas-esque theme (but classier) where each song is to embody a modern artist..hence the titles

Zig Rag Orchestra: http://freealbums.blogsome.com/2006/08/02/etienne-brunet-several-albums/
sort of atmospheric free-jazz, awesome (i don't know about the other 6 or so bands listed in that article, haven't had the time)

ok...well you get the picture, awesome stuff! anyone who is even remotely into avant-garde or jazz music should check this stuff out. im not sure that all of these bands quite fit into the PA criterion, but it'd be awesome to see their inclusion...
if nothing else...its all completely free music...go nuts!

The beauty of everything is infinite and cruel."

I stumbled upon Ne Zhdali while I was in Estonia. Via some very poor translations I was able to get a recommendation of an Estonia Avant-prog band. I have listened through all their albums, while none of them are essential 'masterpieces' they do provide for an interesting listen for fans of light avant-garde with jazz twists.

They have been cleared by the ZART team for addition, so they should be on the site in the coming months. For those not too familiar with the band I think Rhinoceroses and other forms of life is a good starting point.

Thanks for the rest of the links, I will slowly make my way through some of the ablums.
