There are some clips from Fish's forthcoming album '13th Star' on  his MySpace page :http://www.myspace.com/fishofficial

It sounds very promisingBig%20smile even though these are unmixed/un-mastered as yet.

The new songs will mix in with 'Clutching at Straws' on his forthcoming tour where he's even possibly going to play 'Tux-on' LOL

I'm enjoying the samples, they seem to be a bit of an improvement over Field of Crows (which I did like, but not as much as his previous albums). I really wish I could see the tour, too, because CaS is my favorite Marillion album and it'd be a real treat to see him perform the album (even if his voice can't quite hit the same notes and Frank Usher would inevitably butcher some of the classic solos).

Doesn't sound too bad. I'll be sure to pick it up.

I listened to Fellini Days on my way in. Man, I'm liking that more and more!

Yes, Fellini Days is a really good album, I never understood why it was so maligned.

Frank's solos do tend to be rather hit and miss. To be fair to him though, the solo he played in Kayleigh when I saw Fish live a couple of years back was superb. Perhaps better than the original.

I'm basing my opinion on the few live albums and dvds I have from Fish. Usher on those just butchers some of the solos in my opinion and really throws the emotion and delivery that Rothery perfected right out the window. I love live Fish, but sometimes I want Usher to just play how it should really sound.

Meh, nothing's been as good as Raingods or Vigil. I dislike Field of Crows quite a bit, actually. This sounds like a continuation of that.

While I personally rate Crows as his best solo album to date, 13th Star is intentionally planned to be a move away from that, with 'Sunsets on Empire' the most relevant reference point.

I saw him play some of the new stuff (4 tracks) on Friday in Riechenbach..... it sounded excellent! Really good stuff, he was on top form live and we're really looking forward to seeing him again on Sunday at Loreley!

There's now a link to samples of Mark Wilkinson's artwork for the album-I assure you it is worth a look: (first four images on page)

Great clips! Sounds much better than Field of Crows IMO!
