Does Ti Owens really count as classic metal? He never made much headway with Priest (not his fault, Tipton and Downing stifled him) and he's just now proving himself with Iced earth and Beyond Fear.
Many great names, but if Freddie mercury is an option it has to be him.

I always thought Geoff Tate was like an improved version of Bruce Dickinson.. although he has a strange of way of sounding like he's straining when he sings, I don't know if he actually is... Was never much of a Rob Halford fan myself though...

Ian Gillan is the Man - no contest.
I'm just glad you didn't put John Osbourne on the list - that's not singing that's some one mumbling through their nose.

I went with Perry. Great voice, but probably my favorite classic rock vocalist is Lou Gramm of Foreigner. E

So many its really hard to decide, Plant, Daltry, Halford, Gillian, Dio , Dickinson, Mercury, Perry, All kick major arse in my opinion, So I go with Biff just to be different, And I love early Saxon. You know who is missing from this list is Phil Mogg, I would have voted Mogg if he was on the list.

Good to see Steve Perry included. For me, he has the best voice of the lot.

Where's Ozzy? BTW, it's rather appalling for me when somebody calls himself GOD (DIO)...
