My two favourite songs at the moment. Which one do you consider better and why? I just adore both of them.

Good that you've chosen some less discussed prog. I'm sure you've just made Bhikkhu verry happy Clap.

Neither are masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, but the Focus tune is cool.

Very good, both of them, but I stay with Bacamarte

Akkerman 's solo on Birth is one of the greatest leads anywhere, any style, period. In terms of texture, emotion, sheer beauty and tonal originality, it just curdles my innards evry single time (There have been many) . Bacamarte's piece is wondrous but .....Having five kids , I am sorta more familiar with "Birth" , hahaha.

It doesn't matter at all how good Ultimo Entradecer is, because Birth features harpsichord and thus I am required to vote for it...and like tszirmay says, Akkerman has beautiful texture on his lead guitar (alternating between leslie-filtered leads and soaring solo's).
