All these DT/PT polls are getting closed with the exception of the oldest one.

Damn it all, I can't think about this until we decide whether or not DT is better than Yes. It's called pacing people.

PT has so many different sounds and styles. A sign of great musicians no doubt. Bands that don't change much get tedious. Sorry DT.

But that's the thing, if you don't like metal, there are still so much more than the heavy riffs! :) Beautiful vocal harmonies, mellotrons, melodic and stuff like Stupid dream (which i haven't heard all of, but some).
But yeah, i haven't heard solo wilson, so maybe that's a better choice for all you non-metalists (of which i am not one anymore, fortunately).

Well if you're not a metal fan, a lot of it is unappealing.
No music is universally appreciated.
(I prefer solo Wilson, or Blackfield, to tell the truth -- that's more melodic, & "song" oriented.)

Pee Tree.
I quite like Lightbulb Sun, & a few other of their more melodic, less metal tracks here & there.
I've never heard any DT I like. I can hear the musicianship, but posturing guitar-w*nk metal is just not my thing.
So there.
Highly original idea for a poll, BTW....

I have not read all the posts yet, but to me they are two way different bands. I can't vote because each fullfills a different mood I may be in for their particular style of music. I totally enjoy them both!

Don't like recent DT albums, but have never liked PT, so I guess DT wins.
