I'm sure this has already been asked a million times,  but I searched and can't find anything.     But,  what happened to art rock?  Why is it "crossover prog" now? I miss art rock  CryCryCryCryCry

This was discussed in detail here.

In short, Art Rock as too big a genre, so it's been split into 3

Crossover (where all art rock bands reside at the present)
Eclectic
Hard Prog
