Topic: I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT... Posted: March 07 2005 at 19:27 |
... or at least... i think i am starting to! and no nothing to do with spocks beard...
many of you were horrified by my opinions in the recent thread called genesis
i said they were boring, musically unorganised and that i disliked gabriels voice...
i recieved death threats hehe but now i am really starting to get into SEBTP. i love gabriels intro on dancing, and that mellow outro is just beautiful, every section of the song i seemed to have warmed too.
track 3 on that album sounded good with the piano intro right, and then it lead into some flute(?) playing... this i loved and was helped by my love of anglagards hybris, they make similar sounds and i think they are very genesis influenced, so i feel very comfortable with this album. i am now on battle of epping forest, last time this is where i had to put a different album on as i was bored outta my mind but now it all sounds like an excellent album!!!
I hope you are all proud of me... i have seen the light!

Hold the front page and phone The Pope (and his boss-Maani) a miracle has come to Prog Archives. We should set up a shrine,a sacred pool so the unclean can bathe (that's you K9) and a memento shop with replica bulbs....

If you're cracking up then I'm barking mad. I can see the head of Jesus.

Nah, I've changed my mind as well, Genesis are sh*t.
I'm off to listen to my Einstürzende Neubauten bootleg road drill improvisations.

Now they were an impressive live act - anybody else remember them? The bloke on the far right later joined Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

You should try 'lamb lies down on broadway' now. You may take a while to get into the complex story but i am sure you will enjoy it.
