Post your favorite three albums of all time. Personally for me it took a while to figure this out... I based mine on how much they changed my perceptions, how much replayability they have, how long i have been listening to them, and how unique they are compared to other bands.....Ok here goes.. after some deep thought...man this is tough!

-------------------------------
Ohm:Ohm-
I can listen to this album a million times and always hear something new, In my opinion this is one of the most perfect blends of emotion and technicality ever pulled off.

Dreamtheater-Scenes from a memory-pt 2-

Basically made me want to actually play music, rather then just listen to it, and changed how the way i viewed music soley as just music(if that makes any sense lol) music is powerful force that can really have an effect on people.

Frank Zappa-You can't do that on stage anymore Volume 2-
I have almost every zappa cd out there, and I bought them randomly, finally I got this album and it changed my views on how music should be played live, because seeing a band live and listening to their studio record are two totally different things.
-------------------------
runner ups worth mentioning:
---------------------------------------------------
spocks beard-the light-this was the first spocks beard album I heard and opened up the doors to so many other albums for me

syrinx-reification-my gateway to avante garde music-and an amazing album

liquid tension #2-got me into technical metal of all kinds-a true gateway album for me

mongol-doppler444-Started my journey of liking super technical fusion, and especially japanese prog

Don't pressure yourself into loving it. If you like it, then like it, but if you don't LOVE it, then don't TRY to, y'know? I know the rest of STC kinda pressure you into loving it...

Marillion's Brave
U2's The Joshua Tree

The third could be Springsteen's Born To Run, The Police's Synchronicity, Marillion's Marbles, Eagle's One Of These Nights, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, or a few others.

Uh, lemme think...

Thick as a Brick, 'cause it's the best album ever, Heavy Horses, 'cause it's the best Tull album ever, and Aqualung. As a placekeeper.

If you want me to be SERIOUS, then, I'd wager...

Thick as a Brick. See above. Quadropheania. See above also. Finally, Ween's The Mollusk. Damn that's a sweet album. However, place three is unstable, and could also be occupied by Procol Harum, Strange Days, or Heavy Horses. Depending on my mood.
"There seem to be quite a large percentage of young American boys out there tonight. A long way from home, eh? Well so are we... Gotta stick together." -I. Anderson

Pink Floyd - The Wall
Tool - Lateralus
Fates Warning - A Pleasant Shade Of Gray

the third one is debatable, though...
-music is like pornography...

sometimes amateurs turn us on, even more...

-sometimes you are the pigeon and sometimes you are the statue...
